Nestled within historic stone walls, Le Gourmand offers a dining experience where timeless character meets refined cuisine. What was once a 19th-century stone residence has evolved into one of the West Island’s most cherished dining destinations. Family-run for over 30 years, the restaurant has built its reputation on warm hospitality, thoughtful service, and a deep respect for tradition. Our menu focuses on carefully prepared dishes that balance comfort and creativity, crafted with quality ingredients and a refined, modern touch. The atmosphere is intimate, welcoming, and effortlessly elegant. A place where great food, great company, and memorable evenings come together.
The building that houses Le Gourmand dates back to 1847, when Pierre Demers constructed the stone home using fieldstones from nearby quarries. In the early 1900s, the property was owned by Stanislas Portelance, a local carriage builder and blacksmith whose workshop once operated on the site.
Since the mid-1980s, the historic home has welcomed guests as Le Gourmand, becoming a beloved part of the village and a destination for those seeking exceptional dining.
Today, we continue that tradition, honouring the past while creating new memories around the table.
